Cross Sections / Alkynes,polyynes+radicals / Alkynes / C2H2 / SouzaSrivastava(1996)_298K_15.5-124nm

DATAFILE: C2H2_SouzaSrivastava(1996)_298K_15.5-124nm.txt
NAME: acetylene, ethyne
FORMULA: C2H2
AUTHOR(YEAR): SouzaSrivastava(1996)
T: 298K
λ: 15.5-124nm
BIBLIOGRAPHY: A.C.A Souza and S.K. Srivastava, "Photoabsorption cross sections of derived by the electron energy loss spectroscopy technique for ammonia, methane and acetylene in the photon energy range of 5 to 100 eV", J. Braz. Chem. Soc. 7, 91-95 (1996); DOI: 10.5935/0103-5053.19960012
COMMENTS: HC≡CH

The electron energy loss spectrum (EELS) of C2H2 measured in a crossed electron beam-molecular beam collision geometry has been converted to the photoabsorption spectrum, and the relative absorption cross sections have then been normalized to the absorption cross section at 50 nm reported by

J.C. Han, C. Ye, M. Suto, and L.C. Lee, "Fluorescence from photoexcitation of C2H2 at 50–106 nm", J. Chem. Phys. 90, 4000-4007 (1989); DOI: 10.1016/0022-4073(89)90046-0

Normalized absorption cross sections as listed in Table 3
